The way we look at the world changes our experience of it. I strive to view the world through the lenses of compassion, curiosity, and wonder, always leaving room for a bit of “cheek.”
Currently based in Paris, France, I’ve called my native US, Australia, France, and Vietnam all home (some more than once) for years at a time at different points in my life, each leaving their own strong impressions. I carry those impressions into the future in the way I look out on the world.
We all have experiences that change us possibly forever for the better. An empowering one for me was picking up a camera again after having set it down for quite a while; another was beginning a martial arts journey, which in its way of altering how one sees and approaches most everything, indirectly made room for the first—both beautifully poetic, they can be very much about how we connect with others, how we grow, and how we choose to be. Both are in progress, and I hope the journey is long. In a world of serendipity, perhaps I’ll see you on the road.
